The armed wing of Hamas, the Ezzedeen Al Qassam Brigades, have announced that they are prepared to counter any military aggression by the Israeli state against the Gaza Strip.
On Monday morning, resistance groups fired projectiles into Israel following an Israeli air strike that left one Palestinian dead and at least 11 injured, including children, on Sunday.
Abu Obeida, the Brigades’ spokesman, said, “The resistance shelling today morning is only a message to the Zionist occupation that resistance will not allow the Israeli aggression on civilians to continue under flimsy pretexts [sic].”
Sunday’s Israeli aerial attack in southern Gaza targeted 23-year-old Talaat Halil Mohammed Jarbi and 24-year-old Abdullah Mohammed Hassan Maqawi.
Israel accused the two of being involved in a cross border attack in June that killed one Israeli.
Mohammed Jarbi lost both legs in yesterday’s attack.
The Ma’an news agency reported that Israeli tanks today hit the Khan Younis area injuring five Palestinians.
There has been strong signs of coordinated responses to the Israeli aggression.
The latest Palestinian responses were a, “… joint operation between al-Qassam Brigades and Al-Quds Brigades ,” and “…emphasizes a high-level of coordination between the resistance factions in the management of the confrontation with the Zionist occupation,” the statement read.
