The City of Tshwane has a formed a new burial service called the “Central Muslim Burial – Tshwane”. Established on 1 September 2012, the organization is based at Masjid Bilaal in Erasmia.

The new burial service will serve the greater Tshwane area with the following aims and objectives:

To establish, operate and maintain Muslim Burial Services, including assistance in releasing of a deceased from hospital or mortuary, transporting to Ghusal Centre, assistance in performance of Ghusal if requested, and assisting with all other arrangements necessary to bury a Muslim deceased.

The CMB provides a 24-hour service, 7 days a week and 365 year. It is a Non-Profit organization that relies on donations from the community.
