A cure for homosexuals, sex addicts, adulterers and other vices displayed on an advertising board in Pretoria has angered the gay and lesbian community.

The Light of the Nations Church has since amended the outdoor advertisement, but the matter is still being probed by Advertising Standards Authority.

Gay rights groups labeled it homophobic and prejudiced. Despite the removal of the word, the ASA will contemplate if the offensive board constitutes false advertising.

Mmemezi falls on his painting…ahem …sword

Gauteng Local Government and Housing MEC, Humphrey Mmemezi has resigned. The public servant has admitted to using his departmental credit card for personal purchases.

The MEC for infrastructure development Bheki Nkosi will act as local government and housing MEC in the interim.

A week ago Humphrey Mmemezi berated the media for targeting him.
