PRESS RELEASE:
Cii Broadcasting (Pty) Ltd “BE MUSLIM”
As we excitedly gather on the horizon of the greatest Islamic month, preparations have been underway at Cii over some time brainstorming, planning and creating a way in which Cii Broadcasting can mobilise its staff and listeners as well as the greater community to take on a more socially active role in our communities. Cii has identified a great need for assistance in the larger community from our involvement in the “Touch A Life” campaign and “Rose Park for the physically challenged” project. These needs are so great and diverse that no individual or organisation can face them alone, through collective effort from both individuals and organisations however, there is a lot of ground that can be covered. It is thus with good, noble and hopeful intentions that the proactive team at Cii have dreamed up:“BE MUSLIM”
The concept of “BE MUSLIM” is a point of departure directly inspired by our beautiful and empathic religion of Islam that entails us to do good and look out for the creation of ALLAH Almighty, whether in the human, animal or plant kingdom. It is an action which will be rewarded as an act of worship.
The vision of “BE MUSLIM” is “to translate our value system into action and to engage it until it assumes a regular part of our daily lives and routines. The objective of “BE MUSLIM” is highlighted by Station Manager, Shamsheer Khan, herewith: “by doing our part and BEING A MUSLIM first we can restore our value system and create an example and culture that promotes a sense of responsibility for the generations to follow.”
The official kickoff for the “BE MUSLIM” campaign will be on Wednesday 4th July 2012 during morning talk show Sabahul Khair with anchor presenter Ebrahim Gangat.
Cii Broadcasting looks forward to your participation in our concept and invites you to promote good actions through a collective effort.
